Theater and Performance
Theater productions and performance arts presentations are events that, by nature, cannot be duplicated photographically or with any other means. A photographer can either attempt to appropriate the event and represent it in his/her own terms, or negotiate his/her role as a form of collaboration. Photography can bring its own aesthetics and its evocative power to stage imagery as far as it maintains a humble and respectful approach to its material. Rino Pizzi works with choreographers, dancers, performance artists and theater companies, bringing a unique note to theater and dance, with particular attention to independent and experimental productions.
